Emerson Hyndman could be set to return to Rangers, as Murty is looking to add even more depth to his squad during this window, according to a report.
The Sun reports that Murty wants to bring the American midfielder in on a loan deal, as he continues to re-shuffle the Gers ranks.
The 21-year-old has failed to break through into the Bournemouth starting lineup so could look for another loan spell to taste regular first-team football.
The report also states that Celtic gaffer Brendan Rodgers was keeping tabs on the Cherries playmaker, who has already spent six months at the Ibrox during the 2017 season.
Football Insider verdict:
The young American impressed during his first spell at Rangers, and it was those performances that have probably tempted Murty to consider a move for him. Emerson Hyndman appeared 13 times for the Gers during his first six month stint, scoring four goals as well. Aged only 21, the midfielder still has time on his side to develop, but that process will be hastened by getting more football at Rangers, as apposed to sitting in the reserves at Bournemouth. The impressive youngster is highly thought of, and even boasts two senior caps for the USA senior team. He would be a welcome addition to the Gers ranks, even if some fans think otherwise.
In other Rangers transfer news, Gers are still watching this striker amid interest from Hearts.
