Report: Premier League clubs on alert as striker targeted by Tottenham rejects offer
By Amir Mir
Crystal Palace target Saido Berahino has turned down a contract offer from West Brom, according to a report.
Tottenham had several offers for the striker rejected last summer which forced the youngster to hand in a transfer request and resulted in the player spending five months on the bench.
ESPN claim that sources close to the player say he has rejected a new deal by the club and a transfer could be imminent as he has one-year remaining on his contract.
It is said Premier League clubs Watford, Crystal Palace and Stoke are interested in his signature as he tries to force a move away from the Hawthorns.
As reported by Football Insider, Palace have agreed personal terms with Liverpool striker Christian Benteke, as both parties try to agree on a fee for the £30 million rated striker.

Alan Pardew’s men only managed 39 goals last term, so it will be of no surprise if Pardew dips into the market again for another striker.
The news of Berahino rejecting a new contract offer will be a big blow to Tony Pulis as he prepares for the forthcoming Premier League season.
In other Crystal Palace news, fans have reacted on Twitter after the club signed Andros Townsend for £12million from Newcastle.
