Insider reveals star PL figure rejected Tottenham move

Current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp rejected a move to Tottenham while manager of Borussia Dortmund, according to an insider.
German journalist Raphael Honigstein has revealed in a biography of the 50-year-old manager, Bring the Noise, as serialised by the Daily Mail on their website, that he had several approaches from English sides while boss at Signal Iduna Park, rejecting Manchester United as they sought him to replace David Moyes.
The book reports that six months after rejecting the Red Devils, he was approached by their local rivals Manchester City, as well as receiving an offer from Tottenham, although both were turned down, with Spurs turning to then-Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino, who joined in 2014.
Klopp meanwhile ended up leaving Dortmund at the end of the 2014/15 season, a year after the proposed moves to England, and joined United’s fierce rivals Liverpool, where he has become a star figure in the Premier League, entertaining with his passion on the sidelines and humorous press conferences.
He has been in charge of the Reds for 117 matches, winning 59 of those, seeing his side net 226 goals and pick up an average of 1.8 points a game.
