View: Reportedly set for £3.5m move – West Ham must hijack Brighton bid for 10-goal midfielder

West Ham can add the missing ingredient of a goalscoring midfielder to their side in PSV Eindhoven ace Davy Propper this summer.
The Daily Mail claim the 25-year-old is closing in on a move to Premier League new boys Brighton this summer for a fee as low as £3.5million.
It is said Brighton are hoping that the five-time Holland international will be able to undergo a medical on the south coast in the next 48 hours.
Propper was crucial in the PSV midfield last season, as he fired PSV into a title challenge alongside Feyenoord or Ajax.
However, PSV have already exited the Europa League and that could tempt Propper into leaving the Dutch giants this summer with a month left in the transfer window.

But after the Hammers have sold Havard Nordtveit this summer, Slaven Bilic has been left with just three central midfielders in Mark Noble, Cheikhou Kouyate and Pedro Obiang.
Although Nordtveit offered little quality in claret and blue, his loss means the Hammers are down in numbers and now need extra options in the middle of the park.
Propper amassed an impressive 10 goals and nine assists from 43 league and cup encounters during the 2016-17 campaign.
Although that was in a league where the quality is far below that of the Premier League, Propper’s desire to get forward would give the Hammers something different from central midfield.
Captain Noble managed five league goals last term but four of those were penalties, while Obiang and Kouyate only managed one league strike apiece. Nordtveit scored none.
Putting a player such as Propper in the mix, for such a low price, alongside a more defensive midfielder such as West Ham’s three current midfielders.
If he can replicate the kind of form that saw him shine in the red and white stripes of PSV, then the Hammers would climb towards the top eight of the Premier League, if not better.
In other West Ham transfer news, this Everton ace would be another proven Premier League talent to sign for the east London club this summer.
