Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry to sign Anderlecht star Leander Dendoncker but Liverpool should swoop in and lure the Belgian to Anfield instead.

Manchester Evening News claim sources close to the 22-year-old holding midfielder have claimed that an enquiry has been made by Jose Mourinho’s side this summer.

It is said that Anderlecht would charge between £22million and £31million to sign the two-time Belgium international, who partnered Youri Tielemans in midfield last season.

Dendoncker played in every single one of Anderlecht’s 30 league games that saw them hold aloft their 34th league title in the history of the club.

He was also a part of the side that reached the Europa League quarter-finals but were eventually knocked out by Mourinho’s United, who went on to win the competition.
