Revealed: Aston Villa edge closer to £30m+ payout after huge development
Aston Villa will earn over £30million if they remain in the top four and qualify for the 2024/25 Champions League, Football Insider can reveal.
Unai Emery’s side stunned Man City with a game-changing 1-0 victory on Wednesday evening to extend their impressive home record and climb up to third in the Premier League table.
Villa are now five points clear of Tottenham in fifth and can realistically set their sights on the European qualification places.

Finishing inside the top five may be enough to earn Villa a spot in next season’s Champions League group stage, with England in the running to be awarded an extra qualification spot.
Should Villa achieve Champions League qualification, Football Insider can reveal that they will earn over £30million by participating in the competition.
As per Uefa’s current distribution model, qualification alone is worth £13.5million.
Villa would also benefit from the UK broadcasting market pool, which is worth around £12million per club at present.
Villa would only bank around £2million from Uefa’s coefficient payments due to their absence from European football in the past five years – they rank 81st in the current coefficient table.
However, the guarantee of at least three European home matches at Villa Park would provide additional matchday income to the Birmingham-based side, while results in the group stage could add to their prize pool with each win worth £2.4million.

The tournament is also being revamped to a Swiss-style model in 2024/25, which Uefa predicts will result in an 18 percent increase to revenue.
Uefa have not yet disclosed how they intend to distribute the extra revenue next season, but an 18 percent increase in prize money would see Villa’s potential earnings rise to £35million.
