Revealed: Aston Villa star man set for big pay hike as talks intensify
Aston Villa are advancing their contract talks for key stars with Morgan Rogers at the top of the list.
Over the summer, Aston Villa were nearly forced to sell Rogers due to PSR constraints.
The 23-year-old came under intense transfer attention from the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham but the club opted to keep their prize asset.
Chelsea are keen to sign Rogers and there is also interest from Arsenal, which has prompted the Midlands outfit to act fast to tie him down at Villa Park.

Morgan Rogers a ‘key’ player for Aston Villa as they look to extend contract past 2030
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Unai Emery is eager to extend the Englishman’s stay at the club far into the next decade.
Sources told Football Insider in September that Aston Villa had opened talks with Rogers over a new contract following the transfer speculation in the previous window.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over the progression of the negotiations, I explained: “I’m sure it’ll be a priority for Villa to try and sort out Morgan Rogers’ future.

“Unai Emery has come out and admitted that talks are ongoing over a possible new deal for Rogers and some of the other key players at Villa as well.
“Rogers I think is no doubt a key man for Villa. He is a key man for Unai Emery.
“Obviously there was interest from Chelsea and Spurs in the summer but Villa weren’t entertaining any offers for Rogers.
Rogers is on his day one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League. He’s showing that for England as well. It looks like he’ll be going to the World Cup with England as he’s a big player in Thomas Tuchel’s plans as well.

“I’m sure Villa will be hoping that they can sort of tie down Rogers to a new contract, just to sort of ward off any potential move from those interested clubs and end any speculation.
“He’s got a long period still left in this contract until 2030, but it’ll be a fresh deal with improved terms.
“I’m sure that Villa will be working on with Rogers just to sort of prove that as a little reward for what he’s done so far at Villa Park and to try and end that speculation of a move away.”
John McGinn next man to pen down as Celtic circle
The Villains are set to continue their contract mission to keep key stars at the club which includes the Scotsman.

Sources told Football Insider that John McGinn is happy at Aston Villa and wants to stay at the club for the foreseeable future.
Yet, a possible long-awaited move to Celtic for McGinn could be on the cards if he cannot agree a new deal that extends past the end of next season.
Amid a turbulent campaign, ensuring the long-term security of the squad is now of upmost importance for the Spanish manager.
