Revealed: Celtic make move to sign 26-yr-old with same agent as Kieran Tierney – sources
Celtic have made an enquiry for Dinamo Zagreb star Dominik Livakovic, sources have told Football Insider.
The Hoops have money to spend in the final weeks of the summer window and Brendan Rodgers’ kitty will significantly climb if the club can agree a fee with Al-Ittihad for Jota.
Celtic have made a new goalkeeper a priority as they look to provide cover and competition for number one Joe Hart.
Rodgers is keen to recruit a shot-stopper comfortable with the ball at his feet as well as someone who has plenty of top-level experience.
Livakovic, 26, fits the bill as he has 45 Croatia caps and has extensive Champions League and Europa League experience with Dinamo.
The keeper, who has a year left on his contract, is represented by the Stellar agency, who also include Hoops star Kieran Tierney among their clients.
He is among a number of targets in the keeper position for Celtic, who appear increasingly likely to fill the position before the summer window shuts.
Hart, 36, was the undisputed number one at Parkhead in his first two seasons at the club following his arrival from Tottenham in 2021 on a three-year contract.
Benjamin Siegrist and Scott Bain are also on the club’s keeping roster, with the latter recently extending his contract.

Earlier this week, the Scottish champions sold academy product Conor Hazard to Plymouth Argyle for £150,000.
New boss Rodgers, who has returned to Celtic for a second spell, is currently assessing his squad at their pre-season training camp in Portugal.
