Revealed: Chelsea reject Levi Colwill offers as big name now set to leave
Chelsea are set to hand centre-back Levi Colwill assurances over his first-team involvement in the 2023-24 campaign, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed Colwill, 20, will be given plenty of opportunities with Kalidou Koulibaly reportedly set to seal a move to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Hilal.
The England Under-21 international will return to Chelsea for pre-season after a successful loan spell at Brighton in the 2022-23 season.
Football Insider revealed last month (27 May) that the Seagulls are exploring a potential permanent deal for Colwill this summer.
Chelsea have reportedly already rejected a bid of £30million for his services.
But a well-placed source has revealed that “all signs are pointing” to him remaining at Stamford Bridge with Koulibaly set to move on.
It is believed new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is set to make him the first-choice left-sided centre-back for the new season.
Colwill made 22 appearances across all competitions for Brighton as they sealed a historic first-ever Europa League qualification.
The Southampton-born star is under contract with the Blues until June 2025.
He is yet to make a senior appearance for Chelsea but has racked up 54 career games in temporary spells with the Seagulls and Huddersfield.

Koulibaly, 32, is set to move on from Stamford Bridge just 12 months after joining the club for a reported fee of £33million.
The former Napoli star turned out 32 times in the 2022-23 campaign, notching two goals and one assist.
