Revealed: Chelsea’s chances of completing Kenan Yildiz signing in January

Chelsea face an uphill task to sign Juventus star Kenan Yildiz in January, sources have told Football Insider.

Enzo Maresca’s side reportedly had a £70million bid for Yildiz rejected in the summer window.

Despite the setback, the West London side are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old and are huge admirers of his ability.

However, sources say that it will be an extremely difficult deal for Chelsea to pull off when the transfer window reopens in the new year.

Chelsea are well-stocked in attacking areas

A move for Yildiz will not be a priority for Chelsea in January, as they are already extremely well-stocked in attacking areas.

The Blues made a number of additions to their forward ranks over the summer, and will be more focused on other parts of their squad when the window reopens.

Chelsea signed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and Joao Pedro from Brighton in order to address their centre-forward issues.

Estevao also completed a permanent switch to Stamford Bridge, as did Jamie Gittens, making the switch from Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea not ruling out Enzo Fernandez exit

Meanwhile, Chelsea will reportedly not rule out letting Enzo Fernandez leave the club if a significant offer arrives amid growing interest from European giants.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that Real Madrid are among clubs keeping an eye on the 24-year-old

Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of Fernendez and had considered exploring a move during the summer transfer window before looking elsewhere.

Having spent £106m to bring the midfielder to Stamford Bridge in 2023, it is expected to take a similarly “massive” fee for him to leave.
