Revealed: Coventry City to reject Burnley and Southampton offers for Callum O’Hare
Coventry City are set to resist all offers for Callum O’Hare this month amid interest from Burnley, Leicester City and Southampton, sources have told Football Insider.
That is despite the midfielder’s perilous contract situation – which could see him leave the Sky Blues for free at the end of this season.
O’Hare has returned in top form after a serious knee injury which kept him out of the first 12 games of the Championship season.
Coventry are focused once again on securing promotion to the Premier League this season and the 25-year-old is considered key to their chances of achieving that goal.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that a potential promotion is considered more valuable than any fee the Sky Blues could get for O’Hare this month.
The former England Under-20 international has managed six goals and one assist in 16 appearances so far in the 2023-24 campaign.
O’Hare joined Coventry from Aston Villa in 2020 and signed his most recent contract extension two years ago.
Sky Blues boss Mark Robins has confirmed the midfielder has been offered a new deal at the CBS Arena.
The right-footer has notched 18 goals and 27 assists in 162 games for the Midlands club.

Burnley, who sit 19th in the Premier League, are chasing attacking reinforcements late in the window as they attempt to avoid instant relegation back to the second tier.
Meanwhile, Leicester and Southampton are hunting for more firepower to boost their promotion bids in the second half of this season.
