Revealed: How much Estevao’s value has increased since joining Chelsea

Estevao Willian is one of several young talents to have joined Chelsea over the past couple of years.

Chelsea agreed to sign Estevao from Palmeiras in the summer of 2024, with the deal worth an initial £29million and potentially rising to £51m in add-ons.

The 18-year-old remained with the Brazilian club throughout last season before officially linking up with Enzo Maresca’s side this summer.

Estevao has drawn comparisons to Neymar, having already represented Brazil on nine occasions, registering three goals in the process.

Meanwhile, Estevao has impressed for Chelsea in the early stages of this season, contributing four goals and one assist in 15 appearances.

Estevao’s value has doubled after Chelsea form

There has been plenty of talk around just how good Estevao could be after securing regular minutes at Stamford Bridge.

The winger has started on seven occasions this season, while he scored in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday (5 November).

Although the £51m outlay for Estevao’s transfer sounds expensive, there are already plenty of signs that could prove to be a steal for Chelsea.

The CIES Football Observatory provided its weekly valuations of the top players under the age of 20 on Tuesday (4 November).

The Switzerland-based research group estimates Estevao is worth £104m, placing him second on the list behind Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal.

Yamal is by far the most valuable teenager on the planet, with the Spain international worth an estimated £308m after taking La Liga by storm over the past couple of years.

Who are Chelsea’s other valuable young stars?

As part of the recruitment model at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have signed multiple young stars alongside Estevao.

Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo joined Chelsea from Sporting Lisbon over the summer, with the double deal worth a combined £62.4m.

Despite remaining on loan at Sporting this season, Quenda is the eighth-most valuable teenager on the CIES Football Observatory’s list at an estimated £70m valuation.
