Revealed: Kyogo ‘very happy’ at Celtic

Kyogo Furuhashi is “very happy” at Celtic, sources have told Football Insider.

The Hoops striker is attracting major interest ahead of the summer window but this site has learned that the 28-year-old is enjoying life at Parkhead.

On Wednesday (17 May), sources told this site that there is no release clause in Kyogo’s contract which runs until 2025.

The Japan international is continuing to attract interest from top clubs in Europe, including Premier League and Bundesliga sides, ahead of the summer window.

Last week (11 May), Football Insider revealed that the Hoops want £20million if they are to let their top goalscorer leave at the end of the season amid interest from Germany, Italy and England.

English top flight side Crystal Palace have been admirers of the striker and are still keen on trying to secure a deal in the upcoming window.

After struggling in his first season in the Champions League, Kyogo has gone on to lead an impressive goalscoring campaign domestically, earning the top goalscorer award at the Player of the Year awards last weekend (14 May).

The attacker also picked up PFA Scotland and Celtic’s player of the year awards.

This season Kyogo has netted 30 goals for Ange Postecoglou’s side in 46 appearances across all competitions and takes his total goals tally for the Scottish Champions to 50.

The striker will be looking to add to that tally in the remaining games of the Scottish Premiership season after helping his side clinch the title with a 2-0 win over Hearts earlier this month (7 May).
