Revealed: Man City star Riyad Mahrez rejects £120m offer – sources
Man City star Riyad Mahrez has rejected an offer from Saudi club Al-Ahli, sources have told Football Insider.
The Middle East outfit have been working on a mega-money deal to make the winger, 32, the latest big name to join the the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Ahli have submitted a stunning three-year offer to Mahrez of around £40million-a-year to join.
The treble winner, who has two years remaining on his City contract, has knocked that back.
However, Al Ahli are refusing to give on Mahrez and are preparing to come back with a new improved offer for him in the next days.
The 32-year-old has been an important member of Pep Guardiola’s side this season, helping them to secure an impressive treble, but was an unused substitute in the Champions League final win over Inter Milan on Saturday (10 June).
The Algeria international has made 47 appearances for City across all competitions and was in the starting lineup for 36 of those.
Mahrez joined the Cityzens from Leicester City in 2018 after he helped them to their first Premier League title in 2016.

Since his arrival at the Etihad, the winger has made 236 appearances for the Manchester club and has scored 78 goals and offered up 59 assists in those outings.
Al Ahli spent the 2022-23 season in the Saudi second division but have been promoted straight back to the Saudi Pro League after winning the second division title.
