Revealed: Multiple Rangers hires incoming as summer overhaul intensifies
Rangers are set to overhaul their recruitment set-up with multiple new hires in the coming weeks, Football Insider has learned.
Sporting director Ross Wilson is pressing ahead with a major overhaul behind the scenes as the looks to build a network that can enable the Glasgow giants to go to the next level.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Wilson is close to appointing a number of full-time scouts across Europe as he looks to expand and improve a key department.
The club fell way behind Celtic in recent years in terms of analysing and assessing transfer targets.
But Rangers are convinced the new appointments will give them a far better footing in the market in the coming years.
Wilson told talkSPORT this week that he is working closely with Steven Gerrard every day to rebuild the team.

His first focus this summer was to convert Ianis Hagi’s loan into a permanent transfer and that was finalised last week.
Wilson explained the deal was renegotiated after Genk accepted their hopes of securing the £4.5million fee initially agreed in January was fanciful following the havoc wreaked by the pandemic.
Rangers are set to pursue other targets, although the late opening of the summer window could hinder their plans.
One are where the club could make their next move is the goalkeeper department following the exits of Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick last week.
In other Rangers news, the club have been given a major transfer boost after “life changing move” reveal to Jim White.
