
Revealed: Portsmouth and Aberdeen in race to sign Liverpool forward Harvey Blair
Liverpool winger Harvey Blair is a loan target for English League One and Scottish Premiership clubs this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Portsmouth, Burton Albion, Leyton Orient and Scottish Premiership duo Aberdeen and Kilmarnock have registered their interest in the attacker.
Blair, 19, is highly regarded at Anfield having made his first-team debut at the age of 18 in Liverpool’s League Cup win over Preston North End in October 2021.
The youngster’s progress last season was hindered by a number of injury niggles.
Liverpool could opt to loan him out so that he can get valuable first-team experience.
Blair, who qualifies for England and Jamaica, is also in line for a call-up to the Jamaican national team as they look to secure his international future.
The winger joined the Reds as an Under-12 player and has been progressing through the age groups, predominantly featuring for the Under-18s, and singed a new contract back in December 2021
The 19-year-old made 16 Premier League 2 appearances the 2022-23 season, scoring five goals and setting up one assist in those outings.
Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen are looking to strengthen after an impressive campaign which saw them finish third behind Celtic and Rangers and secure European football for next season.
