Revealed: Rangers finalise Sam Lammers deal – and another striker is on the way
Rangers are finalising the £3million signing of Atalanta striker Sam Lammers, sources have told Football Insider.
A deal for the 26-year-old is believed to be done with a bid accepted and he is expected to be one of the next names coming in to Ibrox.
The Netherlands international is viewed by Michael Beale as an ideal replacement for departing striker Alfredo Morelos.
Lammers joined the Italian side in 2020 and has spent much of his time out on loan.
The striker spent the second half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at fellow Serie A side Sampdoria where he made 20 appearances across all competitions, notching one goal and one assist.
The arrival of Lammers has not put Beale off the search for another striker and Football Insider has learned that the Gers are keen to bolster their attack with an additional goalscorer.
Yesterday (12 June), Football Insider revealed that the Light Blues are pursuing a deal for Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers and have begun talks with the forward.
Desser has been on the club’s shortlist for some time and it is believed £5m could be enough to secure his signature this summer.

He netted ten goals in 32 appearances for the Italian side this season but couldn’t save them from relegation and the club are keen to trim costs as a result.
The two strikers would add on to what has been an already busy window for the Gers and Michael Beale who have confirmed the signing of Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland.
