New Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is planning a raid on old club Celtic this summer for Kieran Tierney – and a £25million bid could seal the deal, Football Insider sources understands.
The 21-year-old has impressed for the Scottish champions again this season and been watched by a string of top Premier League clubs during the last couple of years.
Celtic are bracing themselves for interest in prize asset Tierney again this summer and it would take an offer in the region of £25million to even consider selling the defender.
Leicester are drawing up a shortlist of left-back targets as they are expecting a battle to keep hold of Ben Chilwell this summer, while Christian Fuchs is out of contract at the end of the season.
Manchester City are reported to be planning a move for Chilwell this summer with Pep Guardiola a big admirer of the England international and sees him as the answer to the club’s left-back problems.
Should Leicester lose Chilwell Tierney is understood to be their top target to fill the void at the King Power Stadium.
New Foxes boss Rodgers is a huge fan of Tierney from his time working with the full-back at Celtic and hopes his relationship with the Scotland international will give Leicester the edge over rival clubs for his signature.
