Revealed: The first four Everton stars to quit if they go down – sources

Everton are set to lose four senior stars if they are relegated this season, sources have told Football Insider.

The Toffees will likely lose Amadou Onana, Jordan Pickford, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ben Godfrey if they are demoted to the Championship.

Football Insider sources revealed on Friday (31 March) that relegation could trigger a ‘fire sale’ at Goodison Park this summer.

The Merseyside club have been hit with financial fair play charges after recording losses of £371.8million over the last three seasons.

On top of their losses, Everton are still finding funding for their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, with owner Farhad Moshiri claiming it’ll eventually cost the club £760million – £200million more than initial projections.

Everton currently sit 15th in the Premier League but are just two points clear of the relegation zone with 10 games remaining.

Onana, Pickford, Calvert-Lewin and Godfrey are all considered key players at Goodison Park but are all top earners at the club and would need to be sold to clear the wage bill.

Tottenham and Chelsea have shown interest in Pickford and could make a move for the England international if he is made available at a reduced price if relegated.

Onana only arrived in Liverpool last summer, but the Belgian midfielder has made an immediate impact and drawn attention from across the Premier League.

Sean Dyche is eager to hold on to all four stars but understands the club will have to cut down wages if relegated.
