Revealed: Two names on Tottenham’s striker shortlist after Kolo Muani injury
Tottenham are looking at two Juventus strikers as potential options in the January transfer window after losing Randal Kolo Muani to injury, sources have told Football Insider.
Kolo Muani could miss up to eight weeks for Spurs after suffering a fractured jaw against Manchester United, and it could convince the north London side to dip into the market.
The 26-year-old was absent for the first two months of the Premier League season, and may now not feature again until the new year.
Sources say that amid the doubts about Kolo Muani, Tottenham have drawn up a shortlist of centre-forward options which features two Juventus forwards.
Tottenham interested in Dusan Vlahovic and Jonathan David
Tottenham were linked with Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic earlier this month, and may make a move for the Serbian when the window reopens.
The 25-year-old’s contract with the Italian giants expires at the end of the season, meaning that January could be the last time for the club to cash in.
Vlahovic’s teammate Jonathan David is also a name on Tottenham’s radar, as they consider options to solve their striker issues.
David has started just five Serie A games for Juventus this season which may persuade him to complete a move to north London.
Tottenham linked with former Premier League star
Meanwhile, Tottenham have also been linked with Ivan Toney ahead of the January transfer window.
The former Brentford man is being chased by Premier League clubs who are in desperate need of a goal-hungry forward.
Sources told Football Insider that Everton are interested in signing Toney in January, given the disappointing output from Beto and Thierno Barry.
However, Tottenham will hope to win the race for the England international to help bolster their attacking ranks.
