Revealed: West Ham chief takes £1m pay cut as Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy leads the way
A West Ham chief has taken a near-£1million pay cut since the 2021/22 season, Football Insider can reveal.
The Hammers released their financial accounts for the 2022/23 season last Friday (29 December) revealing an overall turnover of £236million with a pre-tax loss of £18.3million.
The documents also stated that the highest-paid director at the London Stadium is now earning a salary of £1.3million.

It marks a huge £900,000 decrease in the wage figures from the 2021/22 accounts, where the highest-paid director earned £2.2million per year.
The overall wage bill at the club is now £137million, a small increase on the £136million paid out in 2021/22.

West Ham’s Europa Conference League triumph last season will have triggered contract bonuses within the first-team squad, but it has not caused a significant spike in wages.
It is unclear who the highest-paid director at the London Stadium is, although the accounts name David Sullivan, Daniel Kretinsky and Karen Brady at the top of their director list.

As per the Daily Mail, Brady was the director who was paid the £2.2million salary in the 2021/22 season, making her the fourth-highest-paid director in the entire Premier League at the time.
Tottenham director Daniel Levy remains at the top of the table with a salary of £3.3million in 2021/22, although Spurs are yet to release their 2022/23 accounts.
