Revealed: When Leicester City could sack Marti Cifuentes
Marti Cifuentes is facing serious questions about his position at Leicester City after what has been a majorly disappointing start to the season so far.
Leicester drew 1-1 with ten-man Middlesbrough last time out after Luke Ayling‘s 96th-minute equaliser to extend their run to just one win in 10 games.
The Foxes have now dropped to 13th place in the Championship with four wins, six draws and four defeats from 14 games, raising frustrations at the King Power Stadium.
Supporters had initial concerns about the boss, who left QPR to join Leicester in the summer, and there has been little evidence of progress to get the fans on side.
As a result, large sections of fans have begun calling for his head, with the boss left fighting for his job amid the constant pressure of Championship football.

Marti Cifuentes could be sacked by Leicester City
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Cifuentes is in trouble at Leicester with pressure building on his position after a difficult start.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, uncertainty is growing about the manager’s future ahead of the upcoming international break, which will give Leicester time to make a decision about his position.
Pressure on the boss is continuing to grow, with results the only thing that can turn around his position as Leicester prepare to face struggling Norwich on 8 November.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Pressure is growing, no getting away from that, it was a big two points dropped against ten-man Middlesbrough in midweek.
“That left them with just one win in ten games. It’s nowhere near where Leicester expected having brought in Cifuentes in the summer.
“They did lose a number of key players in the summer, but they were still expected to be higher up the table than where they find themselves right now.
“Pressure is building on Cifuentes, and you’ve obviously got that unwelcome international break, which leaves a lot of managers looking over their shoulders.

“That gives the club a bit of time to make a decision about the manager. The run of form, it’s not good enough for a team with a squad like Leicester as well.
“With that squad you’re expecting them to be up there, challenging them for promotion.”
Meanwhile, Leicester City are dealing with financial issues away from the pitch, but performances have done little to ease concerns about their position in the long-term.
Liam Manning under pressure ahead of Norwich City clash
Cifuentes is not the only manager in the second tier facing growing pressure on his position, with speculation now surrounding a number of underperforming bosses.
Ahead of Leicester’s visit to Carrow Road, Football Insider revealed last month that Liam Manning is under pressure at Norwich with the threat of the sack looming.
The Canaries are currently 22nd in the table and have gone ten games without a win, with their clash against the Foxes potentially proving pivotal.

Meanwhile, Southampton parted ways with Will Still last week and are assessing potential replacements including the likes of Russell Martin and interim boss Tonda Eckert.
Both Watford and Sheffield United have also pulled the trigger this season, opting to make early changes as their situations quickly became concerning.
