Richarlison hints his heart lies elsewhere in message as Tottenham future takes twist

Richarlison has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer as his long-term future is no longer believed to lie in north London.

Thomas Frank does not view the Brazil international as part of his plans and is aiming to sign further attacking reinforcements, adding to the speculation.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 7 July that Richarlison is ready to leave Tottenham following the arrival of Mohammed Kudus amid Saudi Pro League interest.

Everton have also been linked with a sensational move to re-sign Richarlison as he grows more likely to leave Spurs as the window drags on.

More recently, the forward has been linked with a return to his home country Brazil, with Palmeiras among the clubs keeping tabs on Richarlison.

Richarlison to quit Tottenham as Brazil return on the cards

Amid speculation about a move away from Tottenham and a return to Brazil, Richarlison has dropped a new hint about a potential destination.

Taking to Instagram on 21 July, the forward shared a fan page’s post about his time at Fluminense, where he spent two seasons after joining from America Mineiro.

In a clear hint that his heart may lie elsewhere, the post highlighted his stats from his time with the Brazilian club, where he scored 19 goals and provided nine assists in 69 games before he left to join Watford in 2017.

Fluminense impressed at the Club World Cup as they reached the semi-final where they were defeated by eventual winners Chelsea, earning around £36million in the process.

Meanwhile, star forward Jhon Arias is expected to join the Premier League with a £15million move to Wolves edging closer, making way for Richarlison’s potential return.

Illia Zabarnyi update emerges as Thomas Frank eyes reinforcements

Outgoing deals are not the only focus at Spurs this summer, as Frank looks to further strengthen his squad and has now set his sights on a centre-back.

Football Insider revealed on 22 July that Tottenham are interested in Bournemouth star Illia Zabarnyi, with a £60million offer set to be enough to land his signature.

Zabarnyi was heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the summer, but Spurs have now emerged as the frontrunners to land his signature.

Former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in December that Bournemouth are braced for offers for Zabarnyi and won’t block his departure should a “huge” offer arrive.
