Richarlison posts emotional farewell message after Tottenham exit confirmed

Richarlison has been constantly linked with a move away from Tottenham but he was left emotional in a message on social media.

The Brazilian endured a difficult season in North London, struggling to establish himself under Ange Postecoglou as injuries and inconsistent form disrupted his campaign.

Richarlison managed fewer than 1,000 minutes across all competitions and made just four Premier League starts in 2024/25.

Amid his lack of game time, speculation around a summer departure has only intensified. Football Insider recently revealed that Tottenham are open to selling Richarlison as they look to raise funds for new signings.

Despite that, the 28-year-old shared a heartfelt message online following the confirmed departure of a club figure, leaving fans wondering whether he too is edging closer to the exit.

Tottenham confirm Ange Postecoglou sacked despite trophy win

Despite ending the club’s 17-year wait for a major trophy, Tottenham have confirmed that Ange Postecoglou will leave his role as head coach with immediate effect on 6 June.

It was clear that the Australian had a bond with Richarlison despite his limited role through an emotional post on Instagram.

He wrote: “Mister, massive thanks for helping me out and believing in me during one of the trickiest periods of my career and my life.

“Everyone who loves the Spurs will remember that Big Ange always bags trophies in his second season. We’ve made history! Cheers and good luck on your journey! I’ll always be rooting for you.”

His message was well received, with the likes of Destiny Udogie, Dominic Solanke and Guglielmo Vicario all liking the post.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 1 June that Spurs already made the decision to sack Postecoglou, and with the search for a new manager now under way, the club officially confirmed his exit shortly after.

While Postecoglou guided the team to European silverware, a record-breaking 22 defeats in the league and a 17th-placed finish ultimately sealed his fate.

With Postecoglou’s departure now confirmed, Tottenham could be set for a summer exodus, and Richarlison is among those expected to leave.

Football Insider reported that David Moyes will hold talks with Everton about the possibility of bringing Richarlison back to the club this summer.

It would mark a return during a transformative time for Everton, as they prepare for a new stadium and a new era under fresh ownership.

Richarlison has dropped multiple hints about a return to Everton in recent weeks, and with the side prioritising a new striker, a reunion could now be firmly on the table.
