Richarlison sends two-word injury update in new Tottenham message
Tottenham striker Richarlison has taken to social media to let fans know he’s “almost there” after his latest injury setback.
The 27-year-old has been out of action since the start of November after picking up a hamstring injury in Tottenham’s impressive 4-1 Premier League win over Aston Villa earlier in the season.
Richarlison came off the bench to replace captain Heung-Min Son in the 56th minute, provided the assist for Dominic Solanke’s second goal, and was then forced off 26 minutes later.
Tottenham have been without the Brazilian for their last 11 games across all competitions as they struggle to maintain any kind of consistency.
Their 5-0 Premier League win over Southampton on Sunday (December 15) marked their first win in five games, both domestically and on the continent.
Richarlison working hard to make his Tottenham return as poor form continues
Ange Postecoglu’s side sit in 10th, five points off the top four, with seven wins, two draws, and seven defeats from their 16 games.
Richarlison has failed to make much of an impact when he’s been available, starting six of his seven games across all competitions, scoring one goal, and providing one assist in 173 minutes of action.
The forward took to Instagram to share an injury update with the fans, letting them know that he is “almost there” on his road to recovery.

Tottenham will host Ruben Amorim’s Man United in their League Cup quarter-final on Thursday (December 19) with the visitors buoyed by their dramatic 2-1 Manchester derby win.
Postecoglu’s attention will then return to the Premier League as they face league leaders Liverpool just three days later.
