Rio Ferdinand has aimed a sly dig at a Man City fan on social media after their shock 4-2 Champions League defeat to PSG on Wednesday (January 22).
The 46-year-old was on presenting duty for TNT Sports as City gave up a two-goal lead against the French champions, leaving Pep Guardiola’s side on the brink of Champions League elimination.
Jack Grealish was in the right place at the right time to open the scoring for the visitors in the 50th minute after Gianluigi Donnarumma’s initial save landed right at his feet.
Erling Haaland doubled their lead from close range just two minutes later after PSG failed to clear their lines following a City counter-attack.
Former Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele came off the bench to start PSG’s comeback in the 56th minute before Bradley Barcola scored the equaliser in the 60th.
Portuguese wonderkid Joao Neves put the Parisians ahead with a diving header from a freekick. Goncalo Ramos then rounded off the scoring in added time to secure a memorable three points for Luis Enrique’s side.
