Rob Edwards urged to reject Wolves offer in favour of much better option
Rob Edwards has been told to turn down any approach from Wolves in favour of a much better option.
The Old Gold are on the search for a new manager following the sacking of Vitor Pereira over the weekend.
Edwards is the current favourite to take over from Pereira, after Gary O’Neil withdrew from the process following initial talks.
Wolves currently sit bottom of the Premier League after 10 games of the new season, eight points adrift of 17th-place Burnley.

Rob Edwards is not the right solution for Wolves
Edwards is almost a third of the way into his first season in charge of Middlesbrough, with the Teeside club sitting 3rd in the Championship.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that the former Luton Town boss should stay loyal to Boro, given the current situation.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Middlesbrough have a better chance of being in the Premier League next season than Wolves.
Edwards had a spell as interim manager at Molineux back in 2016, but Wyness said that despite his history with the club, he is not the right solution.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “In terms of Rob Edwards, I think he should stay at Middlesbrough.
“I mean, I really think they’ve got a better chance of being in the Premier League next year than Wolves have.
“I’d be very disappointed if Rob Edwards were to do this to Steve Gibson up at Middlesbrough, the owner, and move away down to Wolves. I know he’s got history with the club, but to me, he’s not the right solution.”
Wolves consider former Man United manager
Meanwhile, Wolves are also reportedly considering Erik Ten Hag for their vacant managerial role.

That is according to former Man United chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that the Dutch boss’s agent has been speaking to the Old Gold.
Ten Hag was recently sacked by Bayer Leverkusen after just two league games in charge, meaning he is now looking for a new club.
The ex-Man United manager could now be set for a return to the Premier League with Wolves running out of other options.
