Robinson issues ‘big’ Anthony Gordon exit claim as Everton scouting mission revealed
Paul Robinson has suggested Tottenham will not be willing to pay £60million to buy Anthony Gordon from Everton.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said the 22-year-old’s form has dipped since “the heights of last season”.
Gordon was the subject of interest from Chelsea and Tottenham in the summer.

According to the Daily Mail (4 January), Spurs recruitment staff were at Goodison Park on Tuesday night to scout the winger.
However, the trip was fruitless as Gordon missed the match against Brighton because of illness.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Robinson said: “I wonder where he is at in his career at the moment.
“He has not hit the heights of last season.
“There was talk of a £60-70million price tag in the summer. It was a big figure for me. You could not say that he is anywhere near that mark right now.
“I do not think he will have loads of options in terms in interested clubs if we are talking about that kind of money again so I think he should sign a new contract at Everton.

“He has done ok but he is not enough of a goal threat. He needs to contribute more goals and assists. In his defence, he is playing with a team that is struggling and is need of a prolific number nine. If a club is going to sign him for £60-70million he needs add more goals to his game.
“For me, he is not there yet. If Everton are holding out for that kind of fee again I cannot see them getting it.”
In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed Everton are still at risk of FFP punishment amid behind-the-scenes reveal.
