Leeds expert issues 'big' Bielsa claim after Everton source's talks update
Paul Robinson has claimed “it would be a big ask” for Marcelo Bielsa to replace Frank Lampard at Everton.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said there would need to be “a complete overhaul” if Bielsa, 67, was to be appointed.
Frank Lampard is under pressure at Goodison Park following a poor run of form.
Last week, Everton internally discussed making a move for Bielsa amid doubts over Lampard’s future.
However, sources told Football Insider on Wednesday that the Toffees have decided against holding talks with the ex-Leeds United manager.
When asked by Football Insider if Bielsa would be a welcome appointment at Goodison Park should Lampard exit, Robinson said: “Bielsa would bring a style of football that the Evertonians would love.

“He brought an enjoyment to Leeds United, whether they won or lost. The style of football was so entertaining.
“I do not know whether he could do it again though. It is a big ask for him to come back to England.
“Teams started to work out how to play against Leeds. They hit them on the break. Bielsa was then criticised for not having a plan B. Does he have the energy and enthusiasm to start all over again?
“If you appoint Bielsa your backroom staff changes, your training ground changes and so on. It is a complete overhaul when he comes. He changes things in a big way and you have to buy into that.”
