Robinson issues ‘crazy’ Liverpool verdict as Roberto Firmino pictures emerge
Paul Robinson has claimed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is “not a happy man” at Anfield.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one suggested Klopp is frustrated by the “crazy” amount of injuries in his squad.
Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Joel Matip, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ibrahima Konate, Calvin Ramsay and Caoimhin Kelleher all missed Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Monday.
As pictured by club media (20 August), Firmino returned to training ahead of Monday’s trip to Man United.
The Brazilian is expected to start with Darwin Nunez set to serve the first of a three-game ban for violent conduct.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the current injury situation at Anfield, Robinson said: “They have got a crazy amount of injuries for this stage of the season.
“You can tell from Jurgen Klopp’s interviews that he is not a happy man at the moment.
“The team have not hit top gear. They’re not playing the way that he wants. It is not helped by the amount of players that are missing.
“The visit to Old Trafford might put a smile back on his face though. They need a result and I think they will get it.”

Liverpool are currently 15th in the Premier League table.
The Reds have made their worst start to a season under Jurgen Klopp this term.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed Liverpool can secure Jurgen Klopp’s ‘legacy’ as a ‘huge’ new hire imminent.
