Robinson makes 'Leeds' claim after West Brom complete latest signing
Paul Robinson has applauded the West Brom board after the signings of Matt Clarke and Quevin Moises Castro were announced.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England goalkeeper claimed it is “great to see” Valerien Ismael being allowed to act swiftly and decisively in the transfer market.
Albion confirmed the signing of Brighton defender Matt Clarke on a season-long loan deal on Tuesday (13th July).
Earlier that day, the club revealed they had secured the services of Quevin Moises Castro on a two-year-deal following a successful trial.
Robinson stressed the importance of the Baggies returning to the Premier League immediately and suggested the new faces would help do that.
“It’s great to see that Ismael is wasting no time,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“He is somebody who knows the Championship and I really think he is going to turn out to be a shrewd, shrewd appointment. I loved what I saw from him at Barnsley with the players he had there.
“They have acted quick in the transfer market which can only be a good thing.
“When you get relegated to the Championship it is vital you get promoted in the first season or two. We have seen Norwich and Watford do it this year.
” Just look at Leeds and how long it took them to get out. It is vitally important West Brom come up next season or the season after so it is good to see Ismael being backed to some extent.”
