Robinson shares worrying Fonseca verdict amid Tottenham development today
Paul Robinson has claimed Paulo Fonseca would not be in his top 10 choices to become the new Tottenham manager.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one claimed the 48-year-old neglects the defensive side of the game and suggested he was not capable of solving their leaky defence.
According to Fabrizio Romano (June 14), Fonseca will sign a deal to succeed Jose Mourinho as the permanent manager of Spurs by today.

It will bring to an end a two-month search from the London club to find a new manager.
Tottenham have ultimately failed in their pursuits of elite level managers such as Julian Nagelsmann, Brendan Rodgers, Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Fonseca, Robinson said: “Fonseca does not inspire me at all and I think I speak on behalf of most Spurs fans.

“He is not somebody that I think can take the club forward.
“I have looked at his teams and watched the way they play and while they have a great attacking style of football and ethos, they are poor defensively. It looks to me as if that’s a side of the game he neglects and that is not what Spurs need. Spurs’ problems are defensively at the moment.
“The amount of managers the club have allegedly spoken to and talks have broken down is worrying.
“Fonseca would not be in my top 10 of managers I would like to manage the club, I need to be honest.
“I just hope it is an appointment that is the perfect fit for Spurs and I can turnaround and say in six months, ‘I was completely wrong.’ But at the moment I am not excited.”
