Brendan Rodgers was delighted that his change of tactics resulted in a hefty 4-0 win for Celtic against Ross County at Parkhead on Saturday afternoon.
His Hoops side made it 55 games without defeat domestically as two goals in each half saw them past County.
James Forrest’s double and goals from Tom Rogic and the returning Moussa Dembele had Celtic fans on their feet in a game they never looked like losing.
Rodgers was pleased to get a positive reaction after the 5-0 Champions League demolition by Paris Saint-Germain and praised the way his players improved as Saturday’s game progressed.
“I think the players deserve a huge amount of credit for the way they played today following a midweek game which required a lot of energy,” said Brendan Rodgers, as quoted by Celtic’s official website.

“The players were excellent in training on Thursday and Friday.
“I said to the players we learn from it, remain positive and press the reset button and go again.
“Today we tried something different with the shape of the team and I thought as the game went on we got better.
“It’s always a mark of the good side to respond, we scored four goals and kept a clean sheet.
“Overall I thought it was a really good performance.”
Celtic extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership after the other top six sides, incredibly, all failed to win this weekend.
The Glasgow giants are aiming for a seventh successive Scottish title this season after going the whole of last season without losing in the league.
Next up for Rodgers’ side is a trip to face Dundee in the quarter final of the Betfred Cup before making the short journey to Ibrox to face Rangers for the first time this season.
