Sources say the Hoops boss wants a “complete overhaul” of his squad during the upcoming transfer window.

Rodgers finds his job under huge pressure but Football Insider revealed on Friday (8 March) that Celtic are not currently planning to sack Rodgers despite their league collapse.

Rodgers demands major summer transfer activity after £67m reveal

The Celtic board were criticised for their lack of investment over the January transfer window after their 2022-23 financial accounts revealed the club made £40million in profit and had an incredible £67million in the bank.

Despite their healthy finances, the Glasgow giants spent just £3million in the January window with winger Nicolas Kuhn being their only permanent signing.

Club chairman Peter Lawwell addressed the lack of transfer activity during the club’s annual general meeting last month, stating that he shared fan “frustration”.

Lawwell said “resources were available” but cited the “unavailability of identified targets”.

Celtic are now at risk of ending the season with no silverware after dropping behind Rangers in the league, finishing last in their Champions League group and losing out on the Scottish League Cup.
