It followed a firmer response earlier, when Rodrygo seemingly hit back at the Arsenal rumours with a message that read: “Stop making stuff up” as he continues his recovery.
Despite often being rotated out of his preferred role, the Brazilian has enjoyed a strong season statistically, registering 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
Meanwhile former England and Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson urged Arsenal to push for Rodrygo this summer, calling him a “statement” signing as Mikel Arteta’s side look to bolster their front line.

One name emerging as a top alternative is Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon. Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown revealed that Arsenal are preparing a formal move for Gordon ahead of the summer window.
He added that Newcastle may be forced to consider “huge” offers for key players as they look to comply with financial rules ahead of the summer window — potentially opening the door for Arsenal, who are keen to add a left-sided attacker to their ranks.
