Romaine Mundle has responded to a message shared by Wilson Isidor after Sunderland beat South Shields 4-0 in a pre-season friendly.

The Stadium of Light outfit are in for a tougher test when they take on La Liga club Sevilla in another pre-season outing on Saturday, 19 July.

Mundle responds to Isidor message as Sunderland beat South Shields
After winning promotion from the Championship last term, Le Bris’ men face the more difficult challenge of surviving in the Premier League next season.
Albeit a victory over sixth-tier opponents, the Mackems will hope that their win over South Shields is a sign of things to come.
Following Sunderland’s victory over their North East neighbours, Isidor wrote on Instagram on 12 July: “Happy to see you again. Felt really good, let’s keep working.”
Fellow goalscorer Mundle commented: “Him.”
Le Bris must buy a striker to complement Isidor and Eliezer Mayenda
Football Insider verdict
Amid the ever-growing gap between the Premier League and the Championship, Sunderland have signed Simon Adingra from Brighton, signalling their intent to stay in the top flight.

The Mackems have also welcomed additions from across Europe, such as former Club Brugge winger Chemsdine Talbi, who scored two Champions League goals last season.
But Le Bris is yet to add another striker to his squad after relying on the attacking exploits of Isidor and Eliezer Mayenda in the Championship last season.
Isidor adjusted well to the second tier after joining from Russian side Zenit last summer, and scored 12 goals in 43 Championship appearances last term.
Mayenda also made a strong account of himself as Le Bris’ side won promotion, notching eight goals in 37 league outings before scoring twice in the playoffs.
However, the Black Cats should now be eager to add more firepower to their ranks as they adapt to the fresh challenge of vying for survival.
Meanwhile, football finance expert Dan Plumley exclusively told Mackem News that Sunderland’s transfer activity so far is a statement of intent.
