Romeo Lavia sends direct message to PGMOL after Tottenham footage re-analysed

Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia has sent the PGMOL a direct message by showcasing the injury he sustained against Tottenham Hotspur on Instagram.

The 20-year-old was caught by the elbow of Dejan Kulusevski in the first half of their Premier League fixture on Sunday (8 December), which led to Lavia going down to the ground.

However, the Spurs attacker received no punishment for the situation which left fans puzzled as footage showcased his elbow connecting with Lavia’s head.

The Belgium international shared a picture of his head on Instagram after the game which showcased a cut on his head due to the connection from Kulusevski’s elbow.

Lavia simply put “…” alongside the image as he proved the impact that the incident caused him.

The Blues were able to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with three points as they came from two goals behind to win the game 4-3.

Chelsea also got away with a VAR incident

Tottenham were equally as aggrieved that VAR didn’t punish a player during the derby-day fixture this past Sunday as fans exploded as footage was re-analysed.

Moises Caicedo caught the shin of Pape Matar Sarr in the first half with a late challenge that saw the defensive midfielder have his stoods up.

However, much like Kulusevski the Chelsea midfielder managed to avoid any punishment as Anthony Taylor focused on keeping 11 men on the pitch for both teams.
