Ronaldo might not fancy Kane at the Bernabeu but he does want Tottenham 21-year-old - report
By Guy Giles
Cristiano Ronaldo wants to bring Tottenham’s Dele Alli to the Bernabeu as a replacement for the aging Luka Modric, according to a report.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claims that Ronaldo was impressed by Alli during Real’s 3-1 Champions League loss to Spurs at Wembley, and sees him as a long-term replacement for Modric.
It is reported that Ronaldo believes Real’s problems this season lie in their midfield, and 32-year-old Modric is seemingly the fall guy for this.
The report also claims that Alli’s arrival at the Bernabeu would signal the departure of Modric’s fellow Croatian international Mateo Kovacic, who would find himself out of Zinedine Zidane’s plans.
It was previously reported that Ronaldo was not in favour of Alli’s teammate Harry Kane making the swtich to the Bernabeu.

Football Insider verdict:
And so yet another story surrounding one of Spurs’ star players emerges from the Spanish press. One minute it is Kane, the next it is Eriksen, and now it is Alli. While Alli has not ruled out a move abroad, this story would seem to be based on nothing but speculation. Alli did indeed put in a brilliant performance against Real in the Champions League, and it would be unsurprising to learn that he is on Zidane/Ronaldo’s radar, but as with Kane there would not seem to be any reason to leave Spurs at the current moment. If, by some miracle, then this story was accurate, then the outgoing Kovacic would actually offer Spurs a very decent replacement for Alli. However for now, this remains pure conjecture.
