Rookie set to start for Tottenham in showdown against Real Madrid - Times

Rookie midfielder Harry Winks is set to start for Tottenham in their Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Tuesday night, according to a report.
The Times claim the Spurs academy product, 21, is in line to be given the nod for the Bernabeu showdown in what would be the biggest match of his career.
It is said that Winks is expected to make the team for the fourth match in succession after also starting the wins against Apoel Nicosia, Huddersfield and Bournemouth, who Tottenham beat 1-0 at Wembley on Saturday.
The Times report that Mauricio Pochettino will turn to Winks as he is short of options in central midfield.
Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama failed to make the bench against Bournemouth as they recover from ankle and knee injuries respectively, while Dele Alli is serving the final game of his three-match ban for last season’s Europa League sending-off against Gent.

Moussa Sissoko is another option for central midfield, which is where he says is his preferred position.
But the France international make a big impact as a substitute in Tottenham’s first league win at Wembley on Saturday and Pochettino may prefer to play him further forward, especially in the absence of Alli.
In other Tottenham team news, a prolific striker has revealed how he was left “broken” by the demands of Pochettino.
