‘Ruben Amorim has an issue’ with Man United ace as fans baffled by ‘inexcusable’ decision vs West Ham

Ruben Amorim came under heavy fire for some of his decisions as Man United conceded a late equaliser to West Ham at Old Trafford.

Soungoutou Magassa netted deep into the game after Diogo Dalot opened the scoring on Thursday, 4 December, with the sides being forced to share points in quite a dull 90 minutes of football.

The Red Devils were quick out of the blocks, with Amad Diallo crying out for a penalty after just four minutes, but after seeing his calls waved away, chances were rare for either side.

Fans were surprised to see Leny Yoro dropped for the clash, but with Ayden Heaven taken off at half-time, likely due to his early yellow card, the frustrated murmurs began to ring around Old Trafford.

Man United fans up in arms after another Kobbie Mainoo snub

Then, after Patrick Dorgu had replaced Dalot, the double substitution of Manuel Ugarte for Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount for Joshua Zirkzee left many speechless, at the stadium or back at home.

Amorim’s move, not just leaving Casemiro on the pitch but also bringing Ugarte on, meant that Kobbie Mainoo was extremely unlikely to appear once again, with suggestions of a falling out emerging.

One supporter claimed that the decision “proved” a fallout between manager and player, not understanding the thinking behind leaving him on the bench, with another calling Amorim “clueless”.

Ruben Amorim with a concerning response to post-match Mainoo question

During his post-match press conference, Amorim actually laughed at the idea of bringing Mainoo on as an attacking option against West Ham, and that is certainly not a good sign ahead of January.

The academy graduate was pushing for an exit during the summer transfer window, but with his departure blocked, he has since been stuck on the bench for the majority of games.

Supporters are becoming more and more concerned that the club are going to have to give up Mainoo on a permanent basis, meaning that another Carrington product has moved away due to the manager.

Multiple Premier League clubs are likely to be keeping tabs on the situation, and the same goes for several European giants, and many would leap for his signature in January.
