Ruben Amorim has Man United backing after making crucial on-field decision
Man United manager Ruben Amorim is being backed to turn around the club’s fortunes after making a major decision.
Amorim was appointed Man United manager last season and endured a tough start to life at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils finishing the campaign 15th.
Man United have signed Benjamin Sesko, alongside the likes of Bryan Mbuemo and Matheus Cunha in a bid to rise up the table.
An important win over Burnley gave Man United their first win before the international break and before they travel to their rivals Man City.

Ruben Amorim has made a ‘big statement’ at Man United
As per the Daily Mail [11 September], Rio Ferdinand believes the club are “backing the manager,” and that Amorim is now starting to put his stamp on the squad.
“If people were thinking there were any doubts about the club backing the manager or Amorim being at the football club, it’s only going to be his decision whether Onana stays or Lammens comes in. It’s a great signing in that respect,” Ferdinand said.
“Whether you think Onana should have stayed or not is irrelevant. The manager has made his mind up.
“He played (Altay) Bayindir early on and said he’s in because of football reasons – that was a big statement from the manager and his intentions of what he wanted to do with Onana.”
Andre Onana is close to joining Trabzonspor on loan after Man United sign Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.

Ruben Amorim faces goalkeeper decision for Manchester derby
With the Manchester derby up next, Amorim must decide whether he gives Lammens his debut or sticks with Altay Bayindir.
Bayindir has looked uncomfortable in-between the sticks, particularly from set-pieces, and was only a short-term solution for Amorim whilst he looked to sign a new goalkeeper.
Lammens is seen as a goalkeeper for the future, and giving him a first start against Man City could be a risk.

Amorim needs to decide on his number one now to help form a relationship between the goalkeeper and defence.
The manager is under pressure to ensure his activity in the transfer market, where he was backed, translates with results onto the pitch.
So far there hasn’t been a convincing performance under Amorim, and the Red Devils are already playing catch up in search of reclaiming a European spot.
