‘Ruben Amorim is forcing Alejandro Garnacho out at Man United’
Ruben Amorim has been pushing Alejandro Garnacho out at Man United amid ongoing speculation about his future, according to their former chief scout.
Mick Brown, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that Amorim has been attempting to shift the 20-year-old for “months”.
The winger was left “upset” after he was left out of the starting XI in the Europa League final, and was then excluded from the squad for the final game of the season.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 24 May that Garnacho could quit Man United after growing unhappy about his treatment under Amorim.
The boss decided early on in his tenure that Garnacho is not the right fit for his style of play, despite some impressive performances throughout the season.
Man United, meanwhile, believe they can make significant profit from his sale and are prepared to accept offers for him when the transfer window opens.

Alejandro Garnacho set to quit Man United this summer
Brown told Football Insider in February that Garnacho could quit Man United after growing unhappy with his playing time since Amorim’s arrival.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment and also worked for the likes of Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham, has insisted the winger “will be leaving” Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.
“It looks like Garnacho will be leaving this summer,” he told Football Insider.
“He was upset about being left out of the team for Europa League final, which is understandable.
“But this isn’t a decision that has been made overnight, it’s been going on for months.
“Amorim has been forcing and pushing him out, because he feels he’s not the right fit for his system and the way he wants to play.
“That’s fair enough, every manager has preferences and players they do and don’t like.
“But it’s become far too much of a show, that’s the issue I have with it, why does everybody have to know that and why wasn’t it done internally?
“We know the club are fine with him leaving as well, because they want to make some money.
“He’s an academy player, who the money they make from his sale is all profit, and that’s what they’ve been looking at.“

Marcus Rashford to take pay cut for Old Trafford exit
Garnacho is not the only winger who has been forced out of Old Trafford by Amorim, as Marcus Rashford also looks set to leave the club for good.
Brown told Football Insider on 26 May that Rashford will take a pay cut to leave as clubs will find it difficult to fund his current wage packet.
Football Insider revealed Villa face paying £130million over five years in wages and transfer fee if they sign Rashford at his current £350,000-a-week salary.
Meanwhile, Brown told Football Insider on 19 May that Rashford is ready for another loan move if a long-term solution cannot be found.
