Ruben Amorim told who Man United must sign in January – ‘He’s the one player we need’

Man United manager Ruben Amorim will be targeting further additions to strengthen his squad in future transfer windows.

Amorim was active in the summer transfer window bringing Benjamin Sesko to Man United alongside the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

Mbeumo has scored four goals in his last four appearances including the opener in Man United’s 2-2 draw at Spurs last time out.

The result leaves Man United seventh in the table, just a point behind fourth placed Sunderland, but there is still an eight-point gap between the Red Devils and leaders Arsenal.

Man United told to sign Conor Gallagher

Amorim focused on strengthening his attack in the summer transfer window, and former Man United defender Paul Parker believes midfielder Conor Gallagher should be a prime target for the club.

Gallagher attracted Premier League interest in the summer, but the former Chelsea star did not leave La Liga side Atletico Madrid in favour of a return to England.

“I think you can’t rush it, you can’t just go and get a big clump of players,” Parker said to UtdDistrict, [14 November].

If you’re looking to take it forward slowly and you want to do something, you have to have something in the back end that you look to build on, you look to build on with that person coming in on loan, or you see you get someone on loan who does well, you get that calibre of player to come in, get it cemented in, then Conor is the one

He’s the one player I think they need. One player who plays a lot of football, doesn’t get injured often, and is willing to play. I’ve watched him many a times when he was at Palace and when he was at Chelsea and every time you see him grimacing, the lad wants to play games of football

If he doesn’t play, it’s a good reason. Even if he’s had a knock, he wants to play football. And I know that if he comes to Manchester United, that would be the cherry on the top.”

Man United targeting a midfield addition

Another midfielder Man United are lining up is Wolves’ Joao Gomes, with the Midlands club prepared to sell at the right price amid their current position at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Wolves could be forced to accept offers if they are relegated to the Championship, with stars likely to leave to continue playing at the highest level.

A deal for Gomes could therefore prove cheaper than other targets, like Crystal Palace‘s Adam Wharton and Brighton‘s Carlos Baleba, who are wanted by many big club’s.
