Sadio Mane cited as ‘big’ Liverpool signing claim made – pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested that losing Sadio Mane is not the biggest problem at Liverpool.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said players like Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez are the future of the club.
As quoted by Anfield Watch (31 January), former Man United man Rio Ferdinand said Jurgen Klopp “let the wrong player go” by allowing Mane to leave.

Ferdinand said he can’t understand why the Reds didn’t meet Mane’s contract demands to keep him at Anfield.
Liverpool are currently tenth in the Premier League table with 29 points from 20 games.
After a shocking 3-0 defeat to Wolves on Saturday (4 February), Klopp’s side have won just one of their last five games.
When asked if losing Mane was the only problem for Liverpool, Hutton told Football Insider: “It is not the only problem.
“I think what goes under the radar is how good he was at pressing when they lost the ball. He worked so hard to try and get the ball back.
“We know his qualities going forward, it was there for everybody to see. I think with the likes of Nunez coming in, Diaz, it has not been great for them but they are the future.
“It is always going to take time for them to settle in but that is not their only problem. Defensively, in midfield there is a big problem.

“Players are not playing to the highest of their ability, they are going through a little lull at the moment. There is a lot of things leading to that problem and it is going to take time to fix.
“So I think the summer window will be a big one for them. “
