Saint-Maximin will 'rip Watford apart' amid 'massive' Newcastle prediction - Agbonlahor

Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Newcastle United to beat Watford at St. James’ Park tomorrow (13 January).

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward claimed Watford are a “shambles” defensively and Allan Saint-Maximin will “rip them apart”.

The two sides are battling it out at the wrong end of the table and a win for Newcastle will see them lifted out of the relegation zone.

They will be able to call upon new signing Chris Wood but Eddie Howe confirmed today (14 January), via Chronicle Live, that there will be no more additions before the game the visit of the Hornets.

“Newcastle have got a chance of staying up,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“Watford are in turmoil, they can’t keep a clean sheet, they can’t get a win.

“If I’m a betting man, I’m betting on Burnley, Norwich and Watford to go down and Newcastle to stay up, if Newcastle get the players they need in January.

“The next game is Watford, wow, what a game that is. That’s a massive game.

“If you lose your sort of nearly down, to be honest. You cannot lose that.

“It’s similar to that Burnley game, you can’t lose, can you go and win it?

“Even the Leeds game after that, Newcastle should be looking at that too. Can they get maximum points? It would bring Leeds back into it and puts Watford below them.

“It’s a massive game and Newcastle need to use their home advantage and I think they will win.

“Watford are a shambles, they can’t defend. Saint-Maximin will rip them apart.”
