Salah, Van Dijk, Trent: ‘I’m told Liverpool have agreed two superstar contracts – they’re done’
Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are finally close to putting an end to the speculation about their long-term futures at Liverpool.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson claimed that the deal for Van Dijk is already agreed, while terms over Salah’s extension are “85 per cent” done.
The Reds are believed to be waiting on a final decision from Salah, 32, who remains a key target for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
This comes after Robinson told Football Insider on 17 January that Al-Hilal are in pole position to sign Salah, with Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad also in the race.
However, he has now explained that Liverpool are closing in on an agreement with their star man and hope to finalise terms before the end of the season.
Van Dijk, meanwhile, has agreed terms behind the scenes and is expected to put pen to paper despite increased interest from the likes of PSG and Bayern Munich.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk agree Liverpool contracts
Robinson told Football Insider that Alexander-Arnold has signed Real Madrid’s contract offer and looks set to leave Anfield when his current deal expires in June.
Now, the former England goalkeeper, who has worked as a commentator for the Saudi Pro League, has insisted that deals for Van Dijk and Salah are almost finalised.
“Liverpool still may be waiting on a decision from Salah,” he told Football Insider.
“The Saudi Pro League is going from strength to strength, they’ve got the World Cup so between now and then, the league is going to fly.
“The teams are getting better, the players are getting better, so there is an opportunity for Mo Salah to go there.
“But I would say I can’t see Virgil van Dijk leaving, I think that one is done.
“For Salah, that deal is 85 per cent done with Liverpool, and Alexander-Arnold is gone.”

Arne Slot to prioritise centre-back signing after contracts agreed
Contract talks with their three star players have been the priority for Liverpool in the closing stages of the season, as they look to finalise talks in the coming weeks.
Following those agreements, they are now expected to turn their attention to the transfer window as Arne Slot eyes a number of areas for improvement.
One key position has been at centre-back, after Football Insider revealed that Liverpool want to sign a defender regardless of Van Dijk’s contract situation.
Now, Football Insider revealed that Liverpool could sign Marc Guehi on a cut-price move worth £50-60million from Crystal Palace when the window opens.
