Savinho among ‘top three’ players Tottenham could sign in January
Savinho is expected to leave Man City in the January transfer window despite their no sale stance.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes Man City will let the Brazilian leave the club.
Tottenham may have to pay over £60million to sign Savinho, who only joined Man City in 2024 from Troyes.
Savinho made just his fifth Premier League start of the season in Man City’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland, with the 21-year-old regularly used from the bench by Pep Guardiola.
Man City set ‘negotiating position’ on Savinho
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Thomas Frank is a fan of Savinho.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness is backing Spurs to sign the forward in January.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Yeah, I think they’ll sell. I think this is just a negotiating position from City saying that they want to keep him, and I think he will be gone.
“And I do expect he will. We’ve been talking about Spurs for a long time. I think he’ll be on that top three list of Spurs potential targets. I think Thomas Frank does quite like him.
“So I think, yes, I’d expect him to move and him to go as well in January.”

Tottenham welcome first January arrival
Spurs have already made their first January signing, with St Patrick’s Athletic forward Mason Melia officially joining the club.
Melia agreed to join Spurs last year, and he has now moved to north London upon the opening of the January window.
The 18-year-old scored 25 goals and contributed eight assists in 98 appearances for the Irish club.
