Savinho and Cunha respond as Rayan Ait Nouri comments on Man City latest

Rayan Ait Nouri has sent a new message as he continues to impress following his move to Man City, with Savinho and Matheus Cunha among those to respond.

Left-back was one of the areas Pep Guardiola seemingly wanted to strengthen in his squad at the Etihad this summer, as his side aim to bounce back from a disappointing 2024/25 campaign.

That is something they have done, with Man City completing the signing of Ait Nouri from Wolves earlier this month.

The Algerian has wasted little time in settling in at his new club, already impressing in competitive action for Guardiola’s side.

Rayan Ait Nouri reacts to Club World Cup progress

On Thursday (26 June), Ait Nouri produced an outstanding performance as Man City beat Juventus 5-2 in their final Club World Cup group game.

That win ensured the Premier League side topped their group with the only 100% record in the tournament, and will now face Saudi outfit Al Hilal in the round of 16 next week.

Taking to his Instagram page to reflect on that success, Ait Nouri simply wrote: “Round of 16”, before adding a saluting emoji.

His former Wolves teammate Cunha has moved to Man United this summer, ensuring the pair are now on opposite sides of a bitter rivalry, but the Brazilian still showed his support by liking that message even so.

Meanwhile, the left-back’s new Man City teammate Savinho commented on the post with a series of loveheart emojis, while the club’s fellow new signing Tijjani Reijnders also hit the like button.

Man City making the most of the Club World Cup

Football Insider Verdict

There has been some suggestions Guardiola would not want his side at the Club World Cup given the need to prepare for next season.

So far though, the tournament is proving rather productive for Man City, with some impressive performances helping them to put the frustration of last season quickly behind them.

Meanwhile, it is also helping new signings such as Ait Nouri quickly settle in and adapt to the new system and squad they are going to be working with.

That should help Man City to hit the ground running at the start of next season, which will be a big relief given the pressure they will be under to bounce back from a well below-par 2024/25 campaign.
