Celtic captain Scott Brown has revealed that Celtic players are constantly being hit with coins.
The incidents have came to light following Celtic’s 1-1 draw with Motherwell last night.
The fans of the Fir Park side have been accused of throwing objects at Celtic players, and Scott Brown has disclosed to STV Sport that it happens every week.
He said: “There’s a lot of talk about decisions but people are being hit by coins and getting stuff thrown at them pretty much every week now just because we’re doing so well in the league and the away fans don’t like that.
“We’re just getting used to it now. You take a corner and you have to look over your shoulder to see what’s coming.
“Eventually someone will get hit in the head with a coin but until that happens probably nothing will be done about it.”
There seems to be bad feeling between Celtic and Motherwell following the two games between the sides this week, due to the two controversial penalties awarded to the Hoops.
The teams meet again at Celtic Park this weekend as the trilogy draws to a close.
Celtic go into the game four points ahead of Aberdeen at the top of the Scottish Premiership, with a game in hand.
