Scott McTominay makes Man United transfer decision – sources

Man United have set a £30million price tag for Scott McTominay this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the central midfielder’s priority is to stay at Old Trafford ahead of the new season.

The Scotland international was linked with a move away from the club last summer but ultimately stayed and did a good job for Erik ten Hag.

The 27-year-old scored 10 goals and became a regular in the team, playing 43 games in all competitions.

United are not actively looking to sell McTominay at the moment unless a big offer comes in from him from another club.

Although there is no rush to sell McTominay, he is entering the final year of his contract at the club.

This summer will be United’s final chance to cash in on him unless a contract extension is agreed upon.

Man United have rejected Scott McTominay bid

United are quite light in central midfield at the moment, which is one reason why Ten Hag isn’t pushing to sell him.

Football Insider revealed that the 20-time champions are expected to sell Casemiro at a “huge” loss this summer, which will further stretch Ten Hag’s midfield options.

The Premier League giants have received interest in him though, as Football Insider reported that the club rejected a £17million bid from Fulham.

There has also been interest in McTominay from Turkish side Galatasaray, but they are not able to meet United’s valuation.

McTominay might be set to stay at Old Trafford this summer, but the club are open to selling two other first-XI players.

Football Insider revealed that experienced centre-backs Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof could both leave United this summer.
